Charité

I am a MD candidate at Charité and a scholarship holder in the TRR 418, after completing my medical studies at the University of Göttingen and Charité Berlin. As a part of the AG Spies, we investigate the effects of dynamic light therapy in ICU patients, hoping to find new ways to treat delirium and restore circadian rhythms in critically ill patients.

Individualized data-driven light intervention in intensive care unit patients

Circadian rhythms are often disrupted in critically ill patients, worsening outcomes. Non-invasive detection and normalization in the ICU are not yet implemented. This project integrates high-resolution patient data with dynamic light therapy to restore circadian rhythms.
