I am a PhD student at the Technical University of Munich and Helmholtz Munich, with a background in biomedicine and chronobiology. As part of Professor Uhlenhaut’s group, my research focuses on the regulation of circadian metabolic rhythms by glucocorticoid hormones. Together with the Witzenrath lab, we are investigating the role of glucocorticoids in lung injury at different times of day.

Targeting

Molecular mechanisms of circadian clocks as therapeutic targets in mechanically ventilated intensive care unit patients

Critical illness and mechanical ventilation disturb circadian rhythms, contributing to inflammation and poor outcomes. This project examines how central and peripheral clocks and nuclear receptor signaling influence immune regulation and lung injury.
