I completed my Bachelor’s in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at Constructor University Bremen (formerly Jacobs University Bremen) and my Master’s in Medical Neuroscience at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, where I studied Delayed Sleep-Wake Phase Disorder (DSWPD). For my PhD, I investigate the temporal dynamics of mood and well-being in relation to circadian disruption.

Leveraging estimates of circadian disruption to support mental health and well-being

Depression and anxiety are linked to circadian disruption, yet temporal dynamics remain poorly understood. This project uses actigraphy, smartphones, and apps to track circadian patterns and mood over time, enabling large-scale assessment and intervention.
